The 2015 “Feel the Learn” 5K Run and Walk is September 19 starting at 9 a.m. followed by a Kid Fun Run around the Town Life Center!
We are excited that the Manchester Early Learning Center has joined the Learn More Center, Manchester Community Schools, North Manchester Public Library and Manchester University in partnering the 5th Annual “Feel the Learn” 5K Run and Walk that highlights lifelong education.
Net proceeds from the 5K and the Kids Fun Run will benefit the Manchester Early Learning Center and the Learn More Center.
Getting a Great Start! That’s the Manchester Early Learning Center! The Center is the only licensed Center in Wabash County providing quality child care for those age 8 weeks through 12 years of age. The program includes a standards-based pre-school for ages 3 – kindergarten and before and after care for school age children. MELC is a United Fund agency and is supported by fees, donations, and fundraising activities. Currently 42 children are served by the Center and it is hoped that the capacity can be grown to over 100 by the construction of a new facility at the corner of 7th and Market in North Manchester. A capital campaign is underway to finance that much-needed improvement.
