 Sara Lochner-Goff
|
Sara Lochner-Goff is the new Executive Director for the Learn More Center. She has worked in the non-profit field for over 11 years, most recently with the American Cancer Society, Great Lakes Division. Sara will bring to the Learn More Center experience in volunteer relationship development, special event planning, community outreach, and fundraising. “Learn More Center is a wonderful organization, providing great services to the community. I am thrilled to be joining them in the fight to eliminate illiteracy!” Sara and her 2 children, Ashlyn and Landen, also have a passion for volunteering. They have volunteered for such events as Relay For Life, Heart Walk, Daffodil Days, March of Dimes, and at local running events. Sara also enjoys participating in her children’s school activities, running and music. She lives her life by the following quote: “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, “I used everything you gave me.”- Erma Bombeck.

Cynthia Johnson comes to the Learn More Center with over 15 years teaching experience. She began her teaching career in Marion, Ohio and began teaching at Sylvan Learning Centers in Fort Wayne in August of 1991 after her marriage to Robin. As a Lead Instructor for Sylvan, Cynthia assessed incoming students, designed individualized programs and taught students from age 5 through age 50+ in a variety of programs. Cynthia's philosophy of education is "No mind should be left behind" and believes all people deserve a quality education. Cynthia and her husband Robin have three children, four cats, two dogs, one hamster & numerous fish.

 Heidi Stout

Heidi Stout is an Adult Education Instructor/Tutor and an ESL Instructor. She has three years experience of teaching English,
one year of experience teaching English as a Second Language, and has worked for the Learn More Center since Fall of 2004.
She loves the world and is excited that the world is finally coming to the good old town of N. Manchester.
"Teaching adults is a joy because they want to learn. Desire is the key to education. If you want to learn, the stars are the limit.
Anything can be attained." Heidi is married to Kurt and has two young boys, Isaac and Caleb. Their world travel experiences have given
her a passion for learning, teaching, and growing. "I am on a journey of growth and want to help others in their journeys as well!"

David Fisher is currently working for the Learn More Center as an Instructor Assistant and English/ESL instructor. David comes to the Learn More Center with 3 years experience teaching. All of his experience up to this point has been teaching English as a second language. He spent the last 2 ½ years teaching English in Mexico. His interests are music, writing and education in general. After graduating from Wabash High School in 1989 he worked as a professional musician which led him to Phoenix, Arizona where he lived for 13 years. While in Phoenix he obtained his Associates degree in Public Relations. When the opportunity to go to Mexico came he jumped at the chance. He has always loved knowing about other cultures. While in Mexico he obtained his teaching certificate. He believes that once a person decides what they want they can achieve it and that with a better educated population the world will only prosper and find peace. “I live my life by these four agreements: 1. Always do everything to the best of your abilities. 2. Use your words impeccably. 3. Never make assumptions. 4. Don’t take anything personally.”

 Drema Drudge

Drema Drudge is a recent graduate of Manchester College, and is a graduate student at Spalding University. Last summer she visited London with Spalding; this summer she travels to Barcelona. "I fully intend to use my trips abroad to broaden our students' horizons – I want them to know if you can dream it, you can achieve it," she said about her travel experiences. Drema and her husband Barry have two children – Mia and Zack. Drema has published numerous magazine articles, as well as having been published in a recent edition of Chicken Soup for the Soul. As part of her educational experience, she is also writing a novel.

Bev Holmquist is the Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper. Bev comes to us after 14 years at Manpower where she helped applicants find work in the area. During that time, she often referred employees to the Learn More Center as the importance of education became mandatory in the job market. While performing her duties as Branch Manager of the local Manpower office, Bev built strong client relationships with many of the area businesses. Bev resides in Wabash with her husband Rick and two furry, four-legged dogs, Bailey and Baxter. Bev has two grown sons, Todd and Chad. Todd is a Neurologist in Rochester, NY. Chad works for FedEx and resides in Muncie with his wife, Rebecca and new baby, Nellee Ann. Bev and her family are golfers, and spend as much free time as possible on the golf course. She also lists gardening and traveling as things she enjoys during any free time. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business from Indiana University, and is an advocate of “life long learning”.
